Dr. Nilesh Desai is a board-certified internal medicine physician and Co-Founder of Family Medical Doctors in New Port Richey, Florida. Born in Detroit and raised in Tampa, he completed both his undergraduate and medical training at the University of Miami, followed by his internal medicine residency at Rush University in Chicago.
In 2012, he returned home to join Dr. Bharat Desai in founding Family Medical Doctors. Together, they built the practice on a shared commitment to science, compassion, and trust.
Dr. Desai is known for his calm, thoughtful approach to care. He listens carefully, explains things thoroughly, and practices medicine with patience and integrity. A devoted father of two, he believes the best care begins with listening and always putting the patient first.
